No, I’m not handing out my phone number to everyone, I’m posting my body measurements for Strawberry Singh’s blog post, “What’s Your Digits? – Take 2: The Mesh Revolution” and answering her three questions.
I generally wear a size M (sometimes S) for dresses; S/XS for most tops and a few dresses.
1. How has the introduction of mesh affected your SL, if at all? Are you open to wearing mesh often or do you still shy away from it?
Currently, the only mesh I wear is hair, footwear, dresses and a few tops. I would love to wear mesh pants but any pants I would wear do not fit my shape without altering (I prefer not to but will if really like the pants). The only pants that actually fit my avatar without altering are the super baggy, drop crotch pants that I wouldn’t even wear in real life. I love the fact that creators are starting to put interior textures to their mesh creations, such as dresses and tops, and many of them now include a full perm alpha texture so we can edit and upload our own.
2. Have you changed your shape to fit into mesh? If so, did you go bigger or smaller?
My own personal philosophy, if I have to alter my size, I will not wear it. I will alter my shape by a couple of points but very minimally. I haven’t changed my overall shape at all, and I won’t.
3. Do you think the mesh deformer will resolve a lot of the issues people seem to have with mesh and will it encourage you to wear mesh more often, if you don’t already?
From what I understand it allows us to do, I will hopefully be able to wear mesh pants. I don’t have any issue with mesh other than pants so it could be beneficial to me and much more beneficial to others. I have a couple of friends who still won’t wear mesh at all until it is perfected.
